 The ruggedly beautiful Costa Brava holiday coast stretches for 100 miles (160km) along the shores of Catalonia in Spain’s north-eastern corner, from Port Bou on the Franco-Spanish border to Tossa del Mar, just north of Barcelona. The coast is filled with high-rise resort developments and modern marinas catering to package tourists, but retains enough green hillsides and lonely, wild cliffs, coves and caves to belie its reputation as one of Europe’s busiest holiday destinations. Its natural beauty, endless miles of sandy beaches and summer sunshine make it a popular holiday destination especially with the British. Two airports service the Costa Brava, Gerona (Girona) or Barcelona which offers some cheap "low-cost" flights. The main resorts are Santa Susanna, Tossa de Mar, Lloret de Mar, Malgrat de Mar and Pineda de mar all of which are suitable for family holidays.

Things to do on the Costa Brava |
Water World Situated at the entrance to Lloret De Mar. This park will entertain the children and young at heart. A host of tubes, rapids, wave pools, Jacuzzi's and slides for the little ones. There are places in the huge area for relaxation and loads of facilities. |

Marinaland Situated in Palafolls, right between the Costa Brava and the Maresme coast, 45 minutes from Barcelona, is a Dolphinarium, Marine Zoo and Water Park. Two parks in one! You can enjoy its water attractions and the best Dolphin, Sea Lion and Parrot exhibitions. A great day out for all. |

L’Aquàrium de Barcelona is the most important marine leisure and education centre in the world concerning the Mediterranean. A series of 35 tanks, 11,000 animals and 450 different species, an underwater tunnel 80 metres long, six million litres of water and an immense Oceanarium, the only one in Europe, makes this place special. |

Go-Karting Situated close to the airport at Gerona a great day can be had at this multi-activity centre. Karting for all age groups is possible as it has a children's zone, a junior zone and a competition zone. Paintball and even crazy golf. There's also a childrens area plus a cafeteria to keep you going. |
