Family Friendly Ibiza holidays - Ibiza Hotels & Apartments only - Holidays for Larger family's

Playa den Bossa beach ideal for families with young childrenIbiza, often called the White Island for its typical architecture, became a major tourist destination during the 1960s, being then famous for its "Hippie-Culture" and nudist beaches. Today Ibiza has widened its appeal to cater for families and older visitors, but any visitor to the Island should remember that San Antonio is like Amsterdam with sun. The young ones are attracted by the island's rollicking nightlife, which starts in the afternoon, at the beaches and in the centre of town and continues until dawn in the numerous discotheques. Unless you're looking for a lively holiday then it's best to keep away from San Antonio town. Having made it plain and clear about San Antonio town, San Antonio Bay and the rest of the island is totally different and some great family friendly resorts and beaches can be easily found.

Things to see and do in Ibiza

The Aguamar Water Park situated in Playa Den Bossa is one of the top attractions of Ibiza. It is the largest water park on Ibiza and provides enough excitement and fun for the whole family. The park has many pools to splash around in and some very long, fast and curvy slides. The Aguamar Water Park offers the best option to a day at the beach and huge fun for the kids and adults.

Ibiza Express: Tourist trains can be seen all around the northern coast of Ibiza and offer a pleasant break away from the beach. Trips usually last around three hours. The four main trips are the Sant Carlos & Beaches which offers an interesting 12-mile journey through wonderful landscapes and remote beaches with frequent stops to take photos, sunbathe and swim. Mini trains depart from Es Cana, Portinatx, Port de Sant Miguel and Cala San Vicente.

Ibiza has two kart tracks. There’s one on the left hand side as you go into San Antonio. The other one is on the road between Ibiza town and Santa Eulalia. They both have a bar and café. Go-Karting is the perfect summer fun activity for all the family. The tracks is open to all ages and there are special baby karts and a separate track for 5 to 10 year olds. Adults can choose from an 11 C.V. kart or a more powerful Honda 400 C.C. model. There are also Go-Karts designed for two people and special competition karts for the more experienced.

Sightseeing is very popular and there are plenty of island bus tours to choose from. These tours are reasonably priced and can be booked locally and will enable you to get a better view of what Ibiza has to offer. Another popular break from the beach for those tourist in the Playa de'n Bossa area is a visit to the bowling centre where gust of all ages can have fun out of the sun. Apart from ten-pin bowling the centre also offers mini-golf, pool tables, trampolines and the ever popular electronic bull. The centre also has its own bar and cafe.
